Overview

The Ghorepani Poonhill trek  is also known as the Ghorepani Poonhill trek . This is a popular 5 day trekking route in the Annapurna region which is on the way to the Annapurna Base Camp. It commences from the beautiful tourist city of Pokhara; a favourite destination for travellers in Nepal; driving to Nayapool and over the suspension bridge of the Modi River. The activities of the Gurung people and their culture can also be seen on this gentle walk.

Perhaps one of the most beautiful viewpoints on earth, is at Poon Hill where you can see the most glorious sunrise and sunsets; this is a reward in itself.

This short Ghorepani Poon hill trek gives you the opportunity to view a panorama of peaks over 8000m. Mountain ranges such as Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna (I) as well as others which are less than 8000 meters, which include Annapurna south, Machhapuchhere (also known as Fishtail), Gangapurna, LamjungHimal, Barasikhar, Nilgiri, Tukuche Peak etc., are also visible.
