I have been in Kathmandu for 6 months working as a Legal Consultant to an NGO, upon arrival at Kathmandu I sought out a good trekking/travel company to help me explore Nepal. I spoke and meet with numerous trekking and travel companies recommended by friends and colleagues. I found this experience tiresome, that is until I met with Ram from Adventure Challenge, this based on a tenuous recommendation by a by a friend of a friend from University. How thankful I am for that recommendation from that barely known individual. During my time in Nepal Ram organised: tourist visits to multiple locations around the country for me, other ex-pats and visiting friends and family; treks around Kathmandu valley and the Annapurna region; and a whole host of adventure activities from single track down hill mountain biking to paragliding. I can without question say that at no point did I regret booking things with him, he was efficient, not remotely pushy and willing to help in any possible way to make the experience enjoyable. There is a clear reason why the preponderance of my ex-pat friends now use him for pretty much all the trekking and other adventure activities they undertake in Nepal.

Ich komme gerade von einem großartigen Trek im Langtang Tal. Vier Tage ging es mit einem stetigem Blick auf die Langtang Range durch das Tal bis auf 3850m. Die Gastfreundlichkeit der Nepalesen in den Dörfern war ebenso bezaubernd wie die sich ständig verändernde Landschaft. Vom nepalesischen Regenwald über die Zone der Rhododendren über die der Dornbüsche bis zur kahleren Zone, die dafür das Bergmassiv unterstrichen hat, war alles dabei. Highlight war am fünften Tag das Erklimmen von Tsergo Ri mit seinen 4984m und dem damit gebotenen Blick auf die tibetische Bergwelt. Traumhaft! Die weiteren vier Tage sind wir hinab und auch wieder hinauf über Tholo Shafru nach Shyapru Besi gewandert.

Adventure Challenge Centre hat einen großartigen und erfahrenen Guide und Träger bereitgestellt. Die Organisation war schnell, freunlich und kompetent: vorher – währenddessen – nachher.

Auf jeden Fall die richtige Entscheidung und mitten in Thamel. Aufenthalt April 2015
