One of the most popular trekking route Everest base camp (5364m) with Gokyo Lake is a noteworthy tour. A flight to Lukla airport the world most dangerous airport the trek along Namche bazar, Dudk koshi valley , Dingboche and Kalapathar has to offer a lot of scenic landscape views. Short Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu.

Day 02: Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2610m). 3- 4 hours.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m). 5 – 6 hours.

Day 05: Acclimatization day.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Dole (4200). 5 – 6 hours.

Day 07: Dole to Machhermo (4470m). 5 – 6 hours.

Day 08: Machhermo to Gokyo Valley (4790m). 5 – 6 hours.

Day 09: Hike to Gokyo Ri (5360m).

Day 10: Gokyo to Dragnag (4700m). 5 – 6 hours

Day 11: Cross the Cho-La Pass and trek to Dzongla (4830m). 8-9 hours.

Day 12: Dzongla to Lobuche (4930m). 5 – 6 hours.

Day 13: Lobuche to Gorak Shep- Everest Base Camp (5364m) – Gorak Shep. 8-9 hours.

Day 14: Hike up to Kala Patthar (5545m) and back to Pheriche. 8-9 hours

Day 15: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar. 5 – 6 hours.

Day 16: Namche Bazaar to Lukla. 5 – 6 hours.

Day 17: Fly Back to Kathmandu.

Day 18: Final Departure.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu.

Namaste and welcome to Nepal. The Explorer Adventure Company representative welcomes you warmly in the Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to the hotel. You take rest and enjoy your meal in the evening. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu.

After breakfast, you set out for the sightseeing trip in the Kathmandu valley. Our expert tour guide shows you the UNESCO world heritage sites, which include Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Then, return back to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2610m). 3- 4 hours.

About 35 minutes fly take us to Lukla, the gateway of the Everest region. After a short briefing and introduce with the porters, we head to Phakding. We walk a gradual downhill trail, pass the Edmund Hillary School. Then we reach to Thado Koshi, where we usually stop for lunch. We can see the beautiful Kusum Kanguru (Three sister mountain). Then we reach to Phakding. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m). 5 – 6 hours.

Crossing the suspension bridge, we walk through Bankar enjoying the wonderful waterfall. After 5 min walk, we can see the fabulous mountain on the right. It is called Thamserku. Then we cross another bridge and walk through undulating trail to reach Manju. There is a checkpost of the Sagarmatha National Park. We begin to walk in the Khumbu valley. We have lunch at Jorsalle and walk gradual up and down. Today we cross 5 bridges in total. Then we follow the Riverbank. Crossing the last bridge, we climb up gradually to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at lodge.

Day 05: Acclimatization day.

After breakfast, we go to the viewpoint place, just behind the Sagarmatha National Park headquarter. The panoramic views of Everest Himalayan chain: Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and many more. Then we walk down to the Sherpa cultural centre, where we can observe the gallery and documentary of sherpa’s ascending Mt. Everest. We hike up to the Everest View Hotel via Syangboche airport, have a cup of tea and return to Namche. Overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Dole (4200). 5 – 6 hours.

After breakfast, we walk up 30 minutes and the trail is flat and relatively easy. After one and half hour, we reach to Kyanjuma, have a tea break and enjoy the Himalayan views. On the way, the mountain goats can be seen. Then we split from the main Everest base camp trail and take the left trail. The trail is continuous climb up all the way to Mong Danda. It is a birthplace of Lama Sange Dorje. It is a zig zag climb down to Phortse Tenga,have a lunch (by the Riverside). Then we climb up through the beautiful forest, continually to Dole. Overnight at lodge.

Day 07: Dole to Machhermo (4470m). 5 – 6 hours.

The trekking become rugged and adventurous, but the Himalayan wonders of the Everest range make it fantastic. Mt. Cho Oyu (8201m), the 6th highest peak of the world is our prime attraction today. During the trek, we cross Kele, Lhabarma and Luza to reach Machhermo at lunch time. There is a Himalayan rescue post, where western volunteers lecture about Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Overnight at Lodge.

Day 08: Machhermo to Gokyo Valley (4790m). 5 – 6 hours.

The Gokyo Valley, we walk following the River valley. The trail is fine, just the high altitude makes our excursion slow. From Machhermo, we trek through the alpine meadows and beside the first and second Lakes. Named as Longpongo and Taboche Tsho to reach the Gokyo Valley. Gokyo valley is located at 4790 meters, beside the third Lake. There are five Lakes on the Gokyo region. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 09: Hike to Gokyo Ri (5360m).

During the rest and acclimatization in Gokyo Valley, we hike to the Gokyo RI and around the Gokyo Peak. We get the astounding panoramas of Ngozumba Glacier and the scenarios of Everest five Lakes along with the views of the Everest Himalayan chain including Mt. Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Ama Dablam, Baruntse, Taboche, Cholatse, Thamserku, Kantenga and various white peaks. We descend to the Gokyo Valley and stay. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 10: Gokyo to Dragnag (4700m). 5 – 6 hours

After breakfast, we walk up 15 minutes to reach at the ridge. Then we walk down and walk all the way through the rocky glaciers. The trail is frequent ups and down to reach to Dragnag. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 11: Cross the Cho-La Pass and trek to Dzongla (4830m). 8-9 hours.

First we climb steep up all the way to the top before we climb to the Cho La top. Then we climb down for about 20 minutes and walk through the rocky moraine. This is the challenging day to cross the Cho La pass. We start to walk early in the morning via Cho La Pass Phedi and head through the icy area, which is difficult to cross. Be aware while climbing. In the winter, it requires the climbing equipments. Again, we ascend through the slippery area and reach the Cho La top. We can get the views of Ama Dablam and Cholatse. Descending to Dzongla is still adventurous through rocky trail and reaches Dzongla. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 12: Dzongla to Lobuche (4930m). 5 – 6 hours.

From Dzongla, we have a short trek down to Lobuche Kharka via tombstones and gradually ascend to Lobuche. The scenarios are awesome. We reach Lobuche on the lunch time. Now, the trek joins the usual trail to the Everest Base Camp. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 13: Lobuche to Gorak Shep- Everest Base Camp (5364m) – Gorak Shep. 8-9 hours.

Heading through the rugged trail gives you the adventure experience. It goes by another side of the Khumbu glacier. After about an hour, then we walk steep up to get the top and continue through the rough rocky trail. We reach Gorakshep through the Italian Research Center and Lobuche Pass. After a rest, we hike further to the Everest Base Camp through the new moraine route. On the way, we can see Pumori, Nuptse and other mountains on the background. Everest view is available only before reaching to Everest Base Camp. It is not that much difficult to walk because of trail, but the higher altitude makes it tough. Then, we descend back to Gorakshep. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 14: Hike up to Kala Patthar (5545m) and back to Pheriche. 8-9 hours

In the early morning, we hike to Kalapatthar, which is also a good viewpoint of the Everest range. The views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse face, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Taboche, Cholatse, Lobuche East and Pumori on the background, which is just behind the Kalapatthar. The golden mountains during the sunrise period are fabulous, including the top of the world. Then we descend to Gorakshep, have breakfast and trek down all the way to Pheriche. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 15: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar. 5 – 6 hours.

After breakfast, we start to trek down to Namche Bazaar via Pangboche and Phunki Tenga. The views of the Himalayas and forest are wonderful. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 16: Namche Bazaar to Lukla. 5 – 6 hours.

From Namche bazaar, we continue to trek down to Lukla, the last trekking day of the trip. With the view of the waterfall and Sherpa villages, we cross the Phakding and reach to Lukla. Overnight at Lodge.

Day 17: Fly Back to Kathmandu.

After finishing the trek, we fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla with the Everest scenarios. From the airport, we drive to the hotel and enjoy the whole day of shopping and rest. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 18: Final Departure.

The last day of the trip, the representative of the Explorer Adventure Company drops you to the airport. Thank you for joining us for your memorable trip. See you again.
