Yala Peak climbing is one of the popular and easy peaks climbing of Langtang region in central Nepal. This peak lies very close to the Tibetan border connected by its ridge to a mountain which borders Tibet and Nepal. Yala Peak (5,500 m). is a non- technical peak climbing and does not require any mountaineering experiences. Yala Peak (5,500 m.) climbing from its top offers the magnificent of Shishapangma (8,046 m) which is the only one eight thou sander which lies entirely in Tibet and Gangchempo (6,388 m) .
From Kathmandu we drive for 5 hours to reach Dhunche or Syabru Bensi. From farmland of Dhunche our trek commences up the valley for four days passing through the pristine forest of Rhododendron blooming from pink to red, conifer, towering grass bamboos, oaks and pines, narrow Georges of Langtang river ascending up the beautiful Langtang valley up to the vast alpine grassland of Kyangjing Gompa (3,900 m.) which is situated below Langtang Lirung (7,246m). Here we spend three days acclimatizing our self and taking day-hikes in spectacular surroundings exploring the Langshisa glacier and observing Yaks grazing around with their background offering the views of snowy peaks of Langtang Ri, Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa and many other around you. We establish a base camp at Yala Kharka (4600m) in some meadows and next day we climb Yala peak. While climbing after we reach 4,900 m the trail is on ice so we will use our tools like ice axe and crampons and walk with the help of 100m rope. After summiting the Yala peak we return back to base camp and back to Kathmandu via same route.
